ART + DESIGN
I graduated from the University of Missouri with a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Art, emphasizing in Graphic Design. I love to bring typography into my art whenever it works for the piece, whether that be in my fabric paintings, graphic tees or illustrations.
Digital illustration and fabric painting with dye, are two very difference mediums, but I enjoy combining the 2 to create some pretty unique artwork.
I would describe my artwork as a marrying of my sketchy illusrative line art with a 70's modern aesthetic. I prefer sticking to a more muted color palette, keeping it simple, or going with classic tried and true black and white.
So you know...a thing happened!
On a whim I decided to submit some of my artwork for a wine label competition. I totally did not think I'd win y'all...but my submission "FROG" was selected as 1 of 3 art pieces that would become the label for the Les Bourgeois Winery's 2020 Collectors Series Wine!

I've always been in awe of those artists who get to paint large murals on the side of buildings. I'm not sure why I never put myself in that category of "mural" artist. I think maybe because it just always felt so....big and intimidating. But when the girls at The Glossy Goat in Centralia, MO asked me if I'd like to give it a try, I thought...why not?" It was October of 2020 and I was ready to get outta my house and do something different. So I did a little research, sketched a mockup, thegirls loved it, and the rest is history!
HOW CAN I HELP?
2020 was truly a year of 1st's. Despite being stuck at home and feeling isolated due to the current pandemic, I was able to sink my teeth into some really cool and fun projects that helped expand my artistic repertoire. "How Can I Help? A children's guide to giving back" was an awesome opportunity to dive into book design and layout. This children's book was a collaborated effort among 5 artists, (myself included) a local children's book author and a very cool guy with a vision for community and giving back.

can be purchased thru Tigers on the Prowl. Profits from the book go to support select local charities.
I was so humbled and blessed to have been given the chance to be apart of this amazing project.
